Holiday Dress

Hello, dear readers! Yes, I'm back after being dormant for how many days. I apologize again for another backlog. Lately, there are things that kept me from my one true love, which is blogging. I have to meet with my friends for consecutive days, do my school requirements and watch the previous episodes of The Vampire Diaries in my laptop, and the list goes on. With my own, tiny and weakly body, I managed to cope up with the tiring things I need to do this Holiday season. Haha.

So, let's talk about the outfit. I must say that this dress I got from Never Been Kissed is HEAVEN! I love the dress. I love the prints. I love the details. And knowing that this is my first Peplum Dress makes me even adore this! When I first laid my eyes upon this outfit, my jaw dropped (I swear) at its beautiful sight. I cajoled my mom just to buy it and she obliged. She even gave me a smile of approval for my choice of dress. See, my mom and I can be big partners in style.

Don't you love the dress? Please tell me you do :)

Since the dress is amazingly striking, I opted for minimal accessories such as my pearl necklace.

Peplum! Love this so much! I decided right away that I'd be using this on Christmas Day. My friends were really raving about my outfit.

Image
PEPLUM! Do I have to mention this word every time I see this? Haha. Insane me.

That black bracelet that I'm wearing was a gift from my friend. She gave it to me during the mass. So thoughtful :)

Patchwork

I was practically rummaging some clothes in my closet when I spotted a necklace I got from my mother. I have worn this once but I failed at featuring this on my blog. When I wore that necklace to school, my friends were buzzing about how elegant the necklace is. Well, I can't blame them. That has to be one of my most treasured accessories ever! That's why I put this item on a safe place to maintain its quality.

Well after two hours of searching for a dress, I finally found my Grandmother's gift to me. I have never worn this to school so basically, it is my dress' first time to be exposed. Haha. The dress is too short and shows a lot of skin so I wore a skirt underneath. I picked a color which can hideously blend with the color of my dress which is cream. Or dirty white? Whatever. Hehe.

And here's the necklace that I've been talking about! This is so lovely, don't you think?

I love the cuff I got from Tomato. Well, you could order accessories for as low as PhP400 ($9) on their site.  And I wore also my favorite watch from Timex.

Zoom into the details of the dress.

Talk About Florals

My College friend runs an online shoppe in Batac, Ilocos Norte. I was so happy when she sent me a message encouraging me to go through her account to see her products. Her account is being managed by Virtual Divisoria which is an online fashion store that offers items imported from Korea, Bangkok and others. I knew instantly that I found the right place. I wouldn't mind having meet-ups with other online shoppe dealers since I have my friend that could immediately send me the products I ordered. Online shoppes are God's gift to girls (and even guys). Let's just change it, Online shoppes are God's gift to all. Well, that could be really suitable :D

As I'm typing this new blog post, I still have that Christmas-Party-Hangover. Last Dec. 13, the College of Arts and Sciences held a Christmas Program. Since it's my first to attend a Christmas party in our College, I had no idea what to wear. My friends are planning to wear our Organization Shirt, but at the back of my mind, it's not a good idea. I want to look great. Haha. Good thing I have a fellow friend who's conscious to style like me. We insisted on wearing casual outfits for the day. I don't know but we have a strong convincing power! Bad thing was I have no photos of the outfit I wore that day *cries a bucket of tears*. But I could show you here the cardigan I ordered from the Online Shoppe my friends manages. :)

Changed places! Yay! I give myself a pat on my back for choosing another background for my pictorials. Haha. Taken at my Uncle's new and polished room.

AND HERE'S MY FAVORITE PART OF THE CARDIGAN- The floral laces at the back!! Do you love it? That's why I bought this cardigan.

Image
My accessories. I love my new bracelet. I got it for P150! Such a great steal. I had a hard time negotiating with the seller back then. Haha. Convincing power again, eh?

Image
My all-time to-go watch. It matches with all the outfit that I wear. Plus, it's from Swatch, one of my favorite wristwatch brand. Can you guess what time we took this photo? Haha.

Anything But Ordinary

Sharing with you these photos my sister shot last week. I love how I ended up dressing like this kind of outfit. It's not something you would mix and match on the very first sight of these items on your closet. But sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone. Stop being a playing safe at times (sounds like I'm pointing into something). It's safe to say if you could try different things. When you try unique ones, you'll be remembered for it.

My bottoms here isn't actually a skirt. It's a tube dress I borrowed from my classmate. I would never intend to wear a tube dress here and anywhere. It's not my typical outfit. This dress has ribbons in it so I used them to tie it up and secure it with a knot on the side. I don't know but I just love how I did it. I've had six attempts on styling it and I'm proud of how it became in the end.

I love how flowy the skirt is. I would really buy an a-line skirt one of these days.

I told my sister to capture me while I'm looking at the time but she clicked the shutter right away and I was like "Why didn't you wait for my signal?!" Hahaha.

My Own LBD

Okay so I know the feeling of wearing the same dress twice. Most of you may find it really annoying since  you'll get the feeling of everyone staring at you and giving you that oh-my-gosh-she's-wearing-that-outfit-again look. Let's face it, even in the clothes we wear people judge us. And we don't like that either. The secret of spicing up your outfit? Shower your wardrobe with accessories that you can match.

One of the staples that a girl should have in her closet is a Little Black Dress (LBD). You can never go wrong with a LBD because it fits in all occasion. You can wear it from day to night! See? But since I'm more of prints, I chose an LBD with floral prints on it. It defines more of my style aesthetic.

Image

I wore this on a Sunday Mass. I was tasked to read a prayer right before the mass ended. I don't want to look oldie that day so I opted for an LBD, which I wore on my previous post on Extemporaneous Speaking Contest, and accessorize it with pearls.

I tend to layered a Cardigan to my LBD since Sunday Mass calls for conservative outfits.

If you want to look stylish, leave everything to belts and it'll give you the right look effortlessly. I just love how this belt I got from my mom brought a classic touch to my wardrobe. Hehe.

I must say Pearls are forever. If you want to look polish with a classic approach, Pearls are your bestfriend! Tried and Proven!

And of course, flats.
