It's Always A Great Time in Manila
Before our request for an educational trip in Manila was approved by our University President, we had moments of discouragements and hopeless chances. We actually thought that we were wasting time on something that would be really impossible to happen, evident to the past years' attempt to push through with the trip. After medical check-ups and numerous changes of parent's waiver, when every documents was already compiled, we only had to hope for a miracle- President's approval. We all prayed everyday and claimed that it would be answered positively. In one fateful day, we received the best news we all had ever heard- "Na-approve ni Presidente'n!" (President had already approved it!)

Joreina Goes to Places: Baguio Cathedral
It was a fine weather when we arrived in Baguio. A shiver of excitement ran in my system as soon as I stepped down the bus. It's been 11 years since the last time I laid my eyes on Baguio. How I wish as I step down the stairs of the bus, I could stretch out my arms and say, "Hello, Baguio" in a voice like that of Toni Gonzaga. Hahaha.

AN OPEN LETTER TO MYSELF

Joreina Goes to Places: Arte Luna
Following my desire to update my blog more often, I decided to always bring my bulky DSLR camera to where my feet will take me. This time, I managed to have a travel post. Here, you can see my love for places and adventure. If I was born rich, travelling would never be a worry to me. I could just hop on a private plane, take an overnight stay to any place I could think of, and then travel to another place the next day.
Since I can't go farther from my hometown (for now. Haha), I thought it would be nice to introduce to you the wondrous places you can find here. You may have seen my previous travel post wherein I featured the Paseo de Paoay, here, you will about to see an establishment that houses art and culture. Thus, let me take you to Arte Luna :)

Joreina Goes to Places: Paseo de Paoay
What better way to celebrate Easter Sunday than to gather all your family members and dine out somewhere near to your place? We're thankful that a new establishment, Paseo de Paoay, in our town opened recently near the St. Augustine Church, popularly known as the Paoay Church. We were feeling tourists at that moment so we headed to SPAM, a branch of the most visited dining place in Laoag, La Preciosa.

Joreina Goes to Places: PAOAY
On a peaceful and solemn Good Friday night, my walkathon buddies (Tita Cristina, Mother, Marjorie and my cousin, Chloe) decided to go outside and take a walk around Paoay's finest places. Since my feet were aching for a place to tour around, I got elated and immediately brought out my camera. It's been awhile since the last time I carried my camera to take shots of places.
So we went straight to the newly-built tourist attraction in Paoay, the Paseo de Paoay which houses the beautiful culture of Paoay and an avenue for commercial businesses.

SECOND SEMESTER WRAP UP
If there's one thing I learned in my second year second semester, it would be, no matter how the going gets tough, never ever give up. It just popped up into my mind and wrote it down immediately on a post-it note.
Second semester had been a terrible rollercoaster ride. But I never did lose my grip on the handle. Because once I loose my grip, I'll fall. But thank God, I didn't. But I was left hanging with just one hand gripping on the edge.
Since my friends posted their lengthy speech on Facebook, it would seem appropriate too, to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to the people who kept on believing in my capabilities (wait, I sounded so cliche). But seriously, if I were to come up with a message, it would go this way. But wait, before proceeding, let me remind you it's not a speech but rather, uhm, random thoughts of mine. Haha.

THROWBACK
The feeling of happiness, pure bliss and success came rushing back to me as I looked at these photos I have copied from my friend. It's as if the feelings I had during these moments are fresh and new. I'm sorry but I'm feeling so nostalgic right now, I can't help but reminisce knowing it's been a month.

#JoreinaProTipsOnBeingWeird
Okay so today, we had a mini-summer escapade cum shooting for our short film at Fort Ilocandia. We stayed there for 5 productive hours. We didn't waste time since we had to pass the film tomorrow. It was a rushed work, actually. We're so pro at that. Give us a requirement that's due on any day, we'll work on it 2 days before the set schedule for passing. Haha.
So what you're about to see are photos showing you my pro tips on how to be weird. And it starts in 3...2...1...

The Changes
Something inside me just kicked in and had me open a new tab and go to Blogger. I just realized how lazy I was (or maybe too busy) for not blogging these past few days. Quite a lot of things have been holding me back and I can't seem find the drive to write a new post. So given an adequate time tonight (and since I'm free of school-related and SC work), I choose to blog a random topic and type everything that comes into my mind and not worrying if I unconsciously made an ungrammatical sentence or commit a typo error. Haha.
You've been warned, guys. Everything in here will be random. Haha.

You Know You're Joreina When ...... (and everything that is sooooo Joreina)
1. Your bed-time consists of reading a book and finishing two or more chapters of it.
2. You need an eye-mask (blindfold) for you to get sleep.
3. Even up to this day, you still keep a diary and write regularly.
4. You stick to morning rush and ends up forgetting the important things to pack.
5. You can never go a day without hugging your sister, annoying your father and listening to the endless rants of your mother regarding her students.
6. You talk to yourself A LOT and even argue with yourself. Everyday, there is a long debate going on inside your head.
7. You sleep past 12 midnight and wake up at around 6:45 in the morning and continue sleeping during class discussions and while waiting for the next class.
8. You once dreamed of taking up an Architecture class because (500) Days of Summer inspired you a lot.
9. You either sketch or doodle or eat or listen to music when you are bored.
10. You're a forgetful person. You have a post-it corner in your room wherein you jot down all the things that are needed to accomplish and write inspirational words that can motivate you.
11. The first thing you see upon waking up is the post-it note saying, "Good morning, beautiful. Something amazing is bound to happen today."
12. You enjoy listening to sad and mellow music.
13. You can actually imitate the voice of Kim Chiu and Nina Dobrev. You're just too shy to show it in public.
14. You get thrilled when someone mentions or you overheard people talking about "The Vampire Diaries."
15. You can never leave house without your rosary. And you can't go out without applying lipbalm. Because that's the only cosmetic that you want to use.
16. You prefer to wear a tee, skinny jeans and sneakers. You're at your most comfortable self with that kind of get-up.
17. You end your sentences with "so..uhmm. yeah."
18. You say "Seriously", "As in?", and "Really?"a lot.
19. You're allergic to crabs and shrimps (unfortunately, your favorites) yet you still eat them no matter what.
20. You'd rather stay at home, reading a book, than go out (sometimes).
21. You're a big fan of weddings just because you're a hopeless romantic.
22. You're always tasked to send GMs about class attendance, practice and other school-related activities.
23. You're fond of paintings and everything related to art.
Have all the best of love. Break free.- Joreina

#SingleAndLovingIt
My mom's words still ring in my head even up to this time and I quote, "You can never have a boyfriend until you graduate in College." I commend myself for keeping tracks on my mother's "wise" and "less-annoying" pieces of advice. She constantly reminds me not to rush things especially when it comes to relationships. I've always lived by her words and I still catch myself reiterating her words, "Joreina, you have to graduate as cum laude." I have her words as a mental note.

Letter Me Later
At first, I wanted to send this on his email thru lettermelater.com. It's actually a website that allows you to set a date on which you want your message to be sent. I thought of sending this message 2 years from now. I already have that courage to click send but then something pulled me back. So, I'll just post it here and let it be known by public. I even jokingly asked myself, "Letter Me Later or Send it Now or Never?" even if it doesn't make a sense. Haha. Pardon my bad joke.
If by any chance he would see this, I would gladly want to hear a response from him.
