'Tis the Season to be Jolly

There is something about Christmas that makes me feel like a kid again.
On the first morning of December, I woke up feeling giddy and kiddy with just the thought of 24 more days before Christmas. I got up, fixed my bed and even greeted the morning sun (which is really unusual for me). I went down to see the Christmas decors my mom and I put up on the last week of November. I feel so weird for having to dance like a retard on the Christmas music while still admiring the decors on the ceiling, the Santa socks on the room doors and the big "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" with a comical photo of Santa Claus plastered on our main door. It's really the season to be jolly.

Tonight I'm Getting Over You

Some times, when I just want to simply get up from my bed, I would listen to an upbeat song and I'll finally do it! I know, this is weird. But you know what they say about getting that certain force just to let you do sorts of thing. I always find it hard to kick my ass from the bed since I'm madly and deeply in love with it. I always find the most comfortable feeling when I'm just laying there on my bed, thinking about some things or just merely recalling past events that you just want to relive. Ughh. The things you do when you're on the bed. It's like the sweet escape from the things that trouble you since you can just sleep them all the way. Haha. Okay. I'm getting too far from the main point why I chose "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" by Carly Rae Jepsen.

Have you listened to it? I DARE YOU to open another tab in your browser then go to Youtube then type the title of the song on the search bar then hit on the first video you'd see on the search results. I super love the lyrics. I know you will, too. Have a great listening time! xx

Picture

"You name the day and I will pick the city
We'll fly away, til then call me when you miss me
If you're asking if I'd really like to see you again,
I'd say ooooh, just say when."

Here's the lovely chorus of one of my favorite Carly Rae Jespsen song. It actually sounds to me like a planned date for a couple, or just two people getting to know each other. The song is actually striking for me since the message of the song is something that really speaks of my unspoken words to the guy that I really like. Sometimes, if I find it hard to speak, I rely on songs since they're my melodious and lyrical diary. Hihi :">

Here's to Never Growing Up

Although I've listened to Forever Young like a bajillion times, Avril Lavigne's new released song "Here's to Never Growing Up" is something for wild and free youngsters and kids at heart. Very perfect for summer (though summer's about to end).  It's so fun, fresh and totally addicting!

Terrified

Mood Status: Happy in Love <3

I cannot contain the happiness I'm feeling these days. I'm undeniably happy, physically and emotionally alive, and most of all surprisingly in love. I know, I know. I've been seeing hearts floating above my head, figuratively, but I just can't help it. I can feel the unconditional love of my parents and most of all, God. But I know you can get what I'm really trying to say here. Okay, so there's a boy out there, and he kinda has my heart. That's simple. Love isn't all about complications, just as how I explained why I'm in love. So to set this romantic mood, music always helps. Katharine McPhee's Terrified is something that can sweep you off your feet. When you're in love, happy or just trying to look for inspiration, Terrified is something worth-listening. I tell you.

Still Into You

If there's one song that I consistently listen to every day, it will be Paramore's new song, "Still Into You". I love the fact that they revamped their music from edgy rock to modernized pop. This song just really proves how versatile they are when it comes to songwriting and singing.

Was there even a time in your life wherein you thought you can never leave your past, like you're stuck in there, wishing that you could relive those memories because it's sooo hard for you to move on? I was in that same situation, too. I've gone through it and I'm glad I've already loosen up myself and left the dark shadows that kept haunting me. It all takes just one person. Just one incredible person to make you believe that everything has its own hope, it just takes a while for us to realize. It only takes dose of patience to make all of your dreams and prayers turn into reality. I'm glad I met that "person". And I will forever thank God because that "person" had me thinking that life isn't over just because you failed in some relationships and in your career. Sometimes, it's all about timing :)

All Or Nothing

Will you agree with me when I say that Glee, a foreign musical TV series, has the awesomest and coolest song choices (apart from The Vampire Diaries of course, which I've been practically mentioning here)? They pick refreshing list of music then mash it up with another song that comes with the same tone. They have the best mash-up songs, craziest kind of characters and take note, their original songs can take your breath away.

Just like this amazing original song "All or Nothing" which they sung on the final episode of Glee season 4. They performed it on the Regional Choir Competition. The way Marley and the rest of the gang belted out each and every note of the song can literally take you to a peaceful  place and realize that the song can be your number 2 life anthem or probably, your life's forever anthem :) Please share me your thoughts about this as soon as you listen to it :)

Remember

Sharing with you this week another song that I constantly listen to on my playlist. I never knew this song until my favorite show, which is The Vampire Diaries, played this on one of their episodes. This song was played when Stefan asked Caroline to dance with her during their promenade. It was Stefan's way to clear off the brewing argument between Caroline and Elena. When I first heard it, I immediately told myself that I have to know the artist then download it in an instant. This song "Remember" by Kari Kimmel is something that mellow-music-listeners can definitely love.

What have you been listening to these days? Let me know :)

Anymore Of This

Whenever The Vampire Diaries is being played on TV, I only look forward to 3 things: the possible solution for the problem of the previous episode, more STELENA (Stefan + Elena) moments and their songs. I put my hands down for Chris Mollere, the man behind their awesome song choices, he really has a great taste in music. He matches every song, and I mean any kind of song, for some episodes. Hands down and all praises to you, Mr. Mollere! <3

This week, I just wish you'd give this song a space on your playlist. Listen to "Anymore of This". Shucks! I forgot the singers. But I'll definitely get by to you on that :)

Stronger

We all have that number one anthem that personally describes your life's situations. Like, the song is perfectly and creatively composed for you. You listen to it whenever you seek for motivation, need for inspiration, and when you want to uplift your determination.

I just want to share with you, lovely readers, a song that fills up my energy level. When you hear this, for sure you'll love the music and its lyrics. But when you listen to it, word by word, bit by bit, you'll feel stronger, braver and most importantly, fiercer. This song is all about moving on, accepting what has happened and getting up when you fall down.

Please let me hear your thoughts about Kelly Clarkson's Stronger. And I would definitely appreciate it if you also share with me your motivation-booster anthem, too :)

Give Me Love

Isn't it so fantastic that whenever you shuffle your iPod then hit on instantly one Ed Sheeran song, our hearts immediately set into a romantic mode? I always feel that everytime Ed serenades me with his warm tone and sweet lyrics and melody each night. That's why before I get to bed or sleep, I listen to one of Ed Sheeran's songs so as to sleep with a happy mind and a happy heart :) That's why I'm sharing this song of Ed  entitled "Give Me Love" for your night music cravings. Share your thoughts, too, about it :)

Mint X 22

Another Taylor Swift song featured on my blog this week! This time, groove into the upbeat music and lively lyrics of "22". It's actually a song that motivates you to live the most out of your life as a 22-year-old. Though I'm not yet still on that age (I'm still 17!!), I feel like with all of the friends, family and people I love that surround me, everything will be alright if we just keep dancing like we're twenty-two! Hahaha

Share your thoughts about this song!

Everything Has Changed

This week, get your heart swoon by the lovely country voice of Taylor Swift in her song included in her new album "Red", Everything Has Changed. The melody is such a sweet lull that you can't help but relate yourself into the lyrics of the song. Go, Download then listen to this song: Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift <3

Let me know your thoughts about it! :)

Titanium

What could be more motivating than to listen to a song that really speaks of your present situation? This week, I'm encouraging you to listen to "Titanium" by David Guetta feat. Sia.

You shout it loud, but I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud, not saying much.
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down but I get up.

I know, I can never point any person in this world who haven't experience criticisms. May it be a powerful person or just an ordinary man, he can still be entitled to get judgments at times. From taste of fashion, clothing, grammar, preference of movies, we are all judged. But then, who we are to please others? We are just people trying to direct our lives the way we want it to be, right? Because in the end, being who you are matters.

Walking Blind

What's new on my playlist? It's Walking Blind by Aidan Hawken and Carmina Round. Actually, I first heard it on The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 5 in which the song I'm pertaining was used for the break-up scene of Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Stefan (Paul Wesley). I definitely recommend you to watch The Vampire Diaries. Haha. Their song choice is like match-made in heaven in each scenes. From upbeat to slow music, they all got the best and the perfect songs.

Please tell me you'll listen to it :)

Been A Long Day

As I'm writing this new blog post, the song "Been A Long Day" by Rosi Golan plays in my background. It's actually a sad and really mellow song. It's so poignant that you have to think how we all grow tired of loving someone. I definitely recommend this to people who are all going through the "moving on" point. After hearing this song, it'll make you stand and say "I am now okay." Haha.

Oceanic Blue and Sea Green

I'm having a lot of backlog posts lately I just can't seem to keep up. Ugh. I still have to deal with a lot of school works. And when I say a lot of school works, it would mean paper works, requirements, projects and so on. #ThePerksOfBeingACollege.

Matchy Color

For this backlog post, I took inspiration from the 80's fashion era. I know I may sound silly since I didn't born on that year and I'm just this girl trying to achieve an 80's style yet I failed. Hahaha. Because Matchy stuffs are famous on that time.

Plaid

Sporting another trend this year! Yay! I gasped as I look into the photos my sister took days ago. I was convincing myself to try the Plaid style these days. Although, it's kinda manly for me (I know you've seen me in my girly outfits before) but I've always loved to try out other things which I don't usually do. It's the trick of getting out of your comfort zone. Right? Right?

Tropical

I know. My take on the "tropical" style trend is veryyyy different. Forgive me for trying but then it feels so right when you have to stand out on a sea full of trendsetters with your own kind of style. When it comes to style, it's always a reminder for all of us to make your own kind of aesthetic. On this, people will remember inch of your style. Because you're the only one who can have that unique style like no one else.

Birthday Girl

Last February 9, I celebrated my 17th year of existence in this world which taught me on how to struggle for life, love, family and friends relationship and the like. I'm still on the final step towards the real age of maturity and womanhood and yet I feel like I'm evolving into a lady I've been wanting to be.

Distractions + Msdressy Winner

Okay before we talk about the outfit, let me announce to the whole world the winner of my previous giveaway. *drum roll please* MS. DIANA SANABRIA FORCADO! Congratulations!!!

Another backlog post. I've been into lots of school work lately. Besides, we're rushing for the accomplishment of two research paper. Juggling both school and blog is a serious and hard process. When you engage into a lot of things, you must be ready for time management and a whole lot of pressure. One can never be a jack-of-all-trades. You sacrifice a lot of time for the things that matter to you most. So my advice, "one step at a time."

I Love Prints

I said it before and I say it once again, "I love anything Prints!!!". I go crazy when I purchase an item with lovely prints. It has an amazing effect on me, like it changes my mood from being sad and gloomy to being ecstatic and very cheerful. When I look at the clothes in my closet, everything has prints; may it be floral prints, polka dot prints, and the like. When I wear prints, I feel like I'm the happiest person alive!!

Fashion Resolution

As we tear apart the last leaf of the year, we also cut off all of our past misbehavior and demeanor as we welcome another year. We come up with a long list of our crooked ways to make it straight and head on towards another beginning. I categorize most of my resolutions; I have an Attitude Resolution, School Resolution, Friends Resolution, Family/House Resolution and there's also a Fashion Resolution.

Let me share to you a piece of my Fashion Resolution: I should clear out all of my unused and nearly forgotten pieces in my closet and start making room for new ones. I've been purchasing a lot of clothings right now and I can't find some space for them in my  cabinet. I even consumed all of the 3 compartments in my closet and I'm finding it hard to allocate a room for them. That's why I even push some clothes farther for enough space.
I thought of giving away some of the items I no longer use or wear. I could just give it as a present for my friends or donate them to any charity event. What do you think? Atleast they'll be for a good cause, right?

As I was decluttering some mess in my room, I found this sleeveless top my mom gave to me. I love the fabric and it's shimmery details. So I planned to pair it of with my lace shorts and cinch a golden belt.
