UniGames and the Irony

Last November 22, our University held the annual University Games. Since, it was our first time to actually witness it, my friends and I decided to wear something formal. Not too formal but let's say formal but on a lesser state. Ironic, isn't it? A formal attire on a sports event? That's a big Fashion No-No. Yes, I know! But to think it's a great challenge for me not to look definitely formal on that day since we have to stay under the scorching heat of the sun (and I really sweat a lot) just to watch and support our College's representatives.

Good thing I wore the most comfortable top I could ever own! If dealing with such a warm weather, ease up all those cranky and sweaty days by wearing a loose top. Talk about, built-in air condition and comfy feeling even under the hot sun. Not only you could feel comfortable, it gives you freely the chance to move around without a tight feeling. That's why I'm becoming less persistent in purchasing secured and tight clothes because having a bipolar kind of weather here in the Philippines tends you to do so. I'm changing my kind of clothes....for now.

Photos taken at the Mariano Marcos State University Lagoon. We were so exhausted to walk around the campus trying to find some shade and have a good view of the playing field. So we stopped by at the Lagoon then played around with my digi-cam. And I have to confess here that it was first time to bring along my Nikon CoolPix Digi-Cam and used it in public! Haha. Sometimes, I can't carry around my bulky DSLR on our school just to get a good shot of my outfit. Sometimes, Digi-Cams can do wonders. Photos here are captured by my handy and trusted Nikon CoolPix.

I'm thanking Mr. Christian Coloma for taking time to shot my outfit. Haha. He was shocked after learning I have a blog then we started discussing about fashion blogging and doing OOTDs. Haha. He was willing to take my photos. Such a kind gesture.

Sunday Outfit

Thought you would want to know what I wear usually on Sunday Mass. Since this moment calls for decent, clean and (okay) appropriate outfits, I opted for liquid leggings and an oversize shirt with my favorite detail on it- cutout on each side of the arm. I've been engaging myself with items with a cut on the sides of the arm to reveal a little bit of my upper arm. I felt really comfortable with it though I have to deal with lack of proper ventilation inside the Church. That's why I have to ensure myself to bring along with me a fan or something that could cool me off.

Dress codes are a must especially for Roman Catholics. You would be exile if you wear something that's undecent and very seductive clothes. Never (and if I say never, it means  NEVER EVER EVER!) wear something that shows off more flesh (e.g. mini skirt and shorts, sleeveless top, tubes). If you decide to wear sleeveless top, make sure it won't reveal a cleavage (the term!). Well you could pair it with a cardigan and balance your outfits well. The key here is applying your knowledge in Fashion when mishaps arrive on the way. :)

One Tone

Okay so it's really unusual for me to gear up an outfit with just a monochrome color. Just like how I blend a tan color with another lighter shade of it. Seemingly, I would like to give emphasis with my skin complexion. Haha. I never thought I would be saying this but I just keep on typing what I have in my mind. Mind you, people. These thoughts would be random so be prepared to catch up in case I fall out of the topic. :D Okay, I have to stop this.

I knowww. This shorts is waayyyy overused but I love how I could pair this to any kind of outfit! :D

Here's the trick, tuck in the front hem of your top beneath the shorts. Keep on giving surprises to your outfit!
I'm the type of person who finds accessories hard to resist!

Changes

Have you ever been afraid to show your inner fashionista in public? When it comes to dressing up, have you ever felt conscious on how would people think if you wear something you're not used to? Have you purchased a lot of trends but still kept inside your closet and haven't shown it to the world? I, for one, had gone through all of that. I've been really shy showing up in public wearing different kinds of stuff (or trends) that I earned. Back then, I was just a teeny-bopper in casual tees and typical jeans who didn't mind on styles and fashion. I only wear simple dress and don't even look after accessories. I'm a girl who has a mantra of "Even less becomes BEST".

Until I saw a style program on etc, "Etcetera: Capsules for the Stylish Youth" hosted by Patti Grandidge and Kim Jones. It's a show that showcases a lot of things for the people who adore fashion and style. It gives the audience a view of the fashion industry and what's in and what's out this year. The first time I watched an episode of the show, it featured two stylish trendsetters in Manila, Camille Co and Danika Navarro. I never did know about fashion bloggers. My blog was just once an avenue of my thoughts and daily experiences. It metamorphisized into a place for my love of fashion. Thanks to, ETC.
This could be my go-to outfit when just strolling in the mall or having dates with friends :)
You can never go wrong with Striped Top, Skirt, Blue Cardigan and wedge. :)
 And of course, SPIKE CUFFS!

I could wear this cuff everyday!!!

Playful with Colors

On this new blog post, I decided to set aside a concept that talks about or is relevant to the photos pasted here. I have to exude a lot of things and feelings I buried down inside me. I think my mind and heart can't take the pain I have to endure on my everyday life. I'm remembered as a funny, happy-go-lucky and talkative person in our group, but sometimes I can't deny the fact that I'm a person, too, being loathed and hated for something I don't even know. I don't even have a clue. Every night, I think of the things most people hate on me. And there are times I ask myself, "Do the things that I do are enough for them to hate me?". I've been backstabbed by my friends before. And now, I just couldn't stand another.
I try to change the perspectives and impressions people think of me. Basically, it would really be hard for me to show off my true self to others.

At the end of the day, I would tell myself, "YOU ARE NOT BORN TO PLEASE EVERYONE."

"Love your haters, they are your greatest fans, you know?"

Playing with Paisley

What's new on my closet? PAISLEY PRINTS! I fell instantly in love with them when I saw a paisley-printed pants of Kryz Uy. And I knew since then that's it going to be a hit on the fashion scene one of these days (or maybe, it is now). I scoured into my closet looking for clothes for my next outfit post, then my eyes laid upon this sleeveless top I got from my mother. When I saw it's print, I can't resist the urge to wear it! Haha.
I tried to change places for my background. But since someone's occupying my usual set, I have to find a place conducive for pictorials. But then, since it's already dusk, it would be really hard for the photographer to find light. #bloggerproblems
